Tall Makou Jar

A vintage earthenware jar made from the red clay of the Makou Town region, where jars like this have been made for centuries to store everyday goods. This one was used to store rice and eggs.

Each jar is handmade and shows its own marks from a lifetime of use. Size, color, and condition vary.
